Lord of the Flies
If the boys on the island had never landed on the island, I don't think they would have ever become killers. They wouldn't have to kill to survive like they are doing now. They have to kill to eat, but they take it too far by killing Simon and Piggy. They get caught up in the roles of being hunters. The boys wouldn't have been like this is they weren't put in this situation. If they remain on the island their futures won't be to good. They will continue to fight and hurt eachother. The boys will continue to hunt and be savages. This has become their way of life, they won't change. They don't want to change. They like to hunt and kill. If the boys are rescued they might change. They aren't going to be killers forever. On the island this is the way they choose to live. They have to kill to eat. Although killing Simon and Piggy wasn't at all nessecary. They can change, it might be harder for Jack than it is for someone else, but they are all capable of changing.
I agree that they are just too caught up in hunting that it makes them turn on each other. I also agree that once they return to civilization that they won't want to kill anymore. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI agree, they got into killing things that they started to kill eachother. Good job(:
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I think that if they never landed on the island they would have to kill to eat like they do on the island.
