short story theme
The short story I relate to the most is "The Scarlet Ibis". I relate to this story the most because I had a neighbor that was challenged and he would never be normal. He had a care taker that tried to teach him how to walk and run right. The kid could not do it, everywhere he went he had to crawl just like Doodle. The kid eventually died because of his condition. He was much like doodle because of the way he would never be normal if he would have lived and he would have been made fun of constantly.

That's a really sad thing to watch and relate to. If I was the caretaker I probably wouldn't push him as hard and understand how disabled he was.

ReplyDeleteI also relate to "The Scarlet Ibis" because my brother is always having to look after me just as Brother did for Doodle. By the way the use of "normal" is irrelevant because there is really no such thing as normal. Other than that, this was really good.
