The Most Dangerous Game

In the movie Fantasy Island it kept switching to different scenes. I didn't like how it was plotted, because it was confusing to keep up with. I still don't really get the movie in general.
Some similarities from the movie and the story, "The Most Dangerous Game" is that someone is hunted/hunting, it's on an somewhat unknown island, because Rainsford was kind of unfamiliar with Ship-Trap Island and the people in the movie kept asking about where and what is the island was. Also, in both the movie and the story there was someone who lived there/owned the island. In the movie it was Mr. Roarke and in the story it was General Zaroff.
Not only there were similarities there were some differences such as, in Fantasy Island there were more people on the island, but in "The Most Dangerous Game" it was basically just Rainsford. Also, in the movie people arrived in planes and Rainsford fell overboard and in the movie Paul Henley wanted to be hunted, while Rainsford did not.
