Sibling Rivalry - "The Scarlet Ibis"
Out of all the short stories we have read the one I can relate to most is "The Scarlet Ibis." I can relate to this most because of sibling rivalry. My brother is only 22 months older than me so we have always argued over everything. We have gone back and forth playing tricks on each other for attention all of our lives. For example, when I was about 3 or 4 years old I was sitting in a little recliner watching the television and he came up behind me and cut off one of my pig tails. This relates to how brother would be mean and play tricks on Doodle to get attention since Doodle got all of the attention.

My sister and I are the same way! We have always been messing around and playing pranks on each other for as long as I can remember. We probably did do it for attention but none of us ever got it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good connection to the story. This is like me and my sister, I cut her hair when we were little kids. Of course she had to get me back. Very good job.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something i would do to my sister. I don't cut hair off but i do play good tricks on her. I like to be the attention too.
