Final Blog

The boys in the novel are not good. No matter who it was in a way none of them were good. Ralph had his days were he was good and Jack everyday knew what he was becoming and knew what he was doing with his hunters. The boys in this novel became evil because they had to. It was either eat or be on your own. I don't think no one really wants to be by themselves on a island with no one to help them. The novel did potray the goodness and the evil of all the children. In the novel I don't think that if they didn't land on the island then they wouldn't have been been evil. They might have stayed innocent little 12 year old boys. You only become evil unless you are under certain circumstances. They had to become what they were for the sake of themselves. But killing Piggy and Simon wasn't such a good idea. Roger was the one that killed Piggy and he did it because he was evil at heart when he was on the island. If he was at home he would have stayed the way he was and he wouldn't have killed Piggy. In my opinion I think he wasn't. He was picked on and was just like the outcast just like Simon. He should have killed and been the savage with the hunters to prove himself to the others. Instead he was a good person and reminded himself of the rules every day he was on the island. He stuck with Ralph no matter what happend with him and Jack. He didn't want their to be conflict between them but there was anyways. To be honest I don't think that I am. When I was smaller I was bad and it just sort of carried over now that I'm 15. I do have good traits and I do have a good heart I know what good and what isn't but it's just hard to be a teenager and still be good. You're tempted with a lot of things in school and outside of school. Everyone is going to say that are good but in truth everyone has a bad traits and actions. The novel was really good and it was just a good novel. Reading and watching a bunch of 6-12 year olds hunt, kill, and try to get a long just reminds me of what my house used to be like when I was younger. Besides all the killing and torture of everyone in my house.
