Inherent Goodness

Now that I have finish The Lord Of The Flies I still think that people aren't truly, inherently good. Like in the novel, the boys weren't inherently good. They may have been good when they first got to the island but when they left, none of them were good. They all changed somewhat throughout the story. Like Jack and Roger, all they wanted to do was kill. They came to the island as good school boys. They left blood thirsty savages. They weren't destined to be evil, they brought it upon themselves. They spent all the time hunting and ended up killing two boys. They would never hace become this evil if they had not landed on the island. They would have carried out normals lives, and never would have known what it's like to be stuck on an island. As for Piggy he was mostly good. He was one of the only boys on the island that was good. He was innocent. Although he wasn't always good, he was better than most of the kids on the island. He was never one to hunt, or kill. He was for the most part good. I'd have to say that I am not truly inherently good. Although I'm not evil I am not truly good. I've made mistakes and haven't always been the best. No one is really good. No one is and stays inherently good. They all change and do bad things once in a while. People change for the worse some times. No matter how good or bad of a situation/life you are born into, doesn't mean you can't change your future and make it what you want it to be.
