i think that the boys in the novel are inherently good. i think that everyone is. no one can be born just plain evil. something has to happen for you to get that mad or evil. Jack and Roger weren't evil before they were on the island. they went insane once that it came to there mind that they were stuck on that island with a bunch of boys. and Piggy, yes he was good. he could have just as easily turned evil like Jack and Roger. but he didn't. so, i think that he was stronger mentally than Jack and Roger were. some people are just sane, they know how to deal with pain, anger, and scaredness better than others do. Yes, people can be rude, mean, and scary but i don't think that they can be born that way, i mean really. it takes time to become evil, and to tell you the truth, i think that no one can be straight up, plain evil. they have to have some good in them, even if it's just like a little bit. everyone has good in them. (:
