Are people inherently good?

Are people inherently good? Well, the side that I choose is people can be inherently good. They can be good when they want to be but under a lot of influence and peer pressure we can become bad. When you're born you're born with good intentions and you don't know what right from wrong is. As you grow up you start to learn what right and wrong is. You can develope emotions and actions once you get old enough to finally notice and realize what they actually are. An example from the story would be when Simon was killed. In general he was just a good person throughout the whole story. Even though he was murdered he didn't deserve it in any way. All caught up in the rain dance that they were doing but it's partially everyone's fault for his death. They could have stopped but they didn't. That's when you realy know that all innocence of the children; even the littleuns is gone completely. Simon was good because he helped the littleuns and took care of them and he helped them with whatever they needed. Another example is Piggy and his character. What he depicts in the story is really just order and how he follows everything and all the rules that Ralph makes. Piggy makes sure that there is order and out of his kindness he tries to keep everything in order and keep everything working properly. That's just because even though to be born good to be a genuine good person you have to be somewhat like Simon and Piggy. If you choose to be bad than that's just your choice. I think that as you grow older that your sense fo right from wrong is totally different than it was when you were smaller. An example from my life would just be the same. When I was younger I was a really bad kid and I wanted everything that my sister had. I wasn't good at all until I grew out of it and grew up that I had to learn from past experinces that I was bad and couldn't get everything that I wanted. But now that I'm older and a lot more understanding I know how to act and what to do, and I know what right from wrong is. People with bad influences and just not good people arould them have a tendency to turn out that way.
